Well thought I would share the find for others wondering about riding without run flats and no spare. If anyone knows why, would appreciate the info. I don't believe the statement is related to TPMS as TPMS's are on 2002 and up 3 series and not all came with run flats. But does state "not for use with run flats". I am still a bit skeptical but figure if you only use a little and not the whole can to fill the tire only enough to make the leak stop (couple of squirts) it shouldn't gunk up the sensor.īMW seems to confirm that tire sealant is safe as they sell an air compressor with built in tire sealant Mobility kit. ![]() I did a little searching on the internet and found this (see below). ![]() Since I am getting ready to switch over to non run flat winter tires with TPMS and don't want to have to wait for a tow truck that can take 2 hours plus. As most of us have read and probably heard "fix a flat" and "slime" are not safe for TPMS.
